What made you want to start out doing Lymphatic Drainage?


I have been looking for a course specifically focusing on MLD for several years. Although there were courses available none of them offered anything extra to what I already knew from my years of practice, training and teaching in the industry. Until I saw Flavia’s training being promoted.

 

How did you find doing Flavia’s course?


I found it very inspiring. Flavia and her team are very knowledgeable and supportive. I still speak to Flavia as she is always on hand a ready to support if we have and questions or concerns regarding treatment.

 

What type of lymphatic drainage methods do you use?

So, I offer different techniques depending on clients needs and concerns. Someone recovering from illness will need a different approach to someone looking to detox and tone.

How does lymphatic drainage work?

You work along the lymph pathways using various movements depending on what you want to achieve. It also involves various breathing exercises during treatment. 

 

What can I expect during my session?

It’s a full body treatment focusing a lot on the stomach, chest and face where the majority of your lymph nodes are. It combines fast and slow movements with various pressure. But always working towards the nodes.

 

How many sessions of lymphatic drainage are needed to see results?


It depends on what you are trying to achieve. We can discuss this in a consultation prior to treatment. 

 

Manual vs mechanical, which is better?


Manual! That’s why it’s so popular. A machine at access the way human touch can. Although some machines used in addition can be very effective. 

Are there any side effects and what should I do after my session to get the full benefit?

Drink plenty of water 

Keep your legs raised 

Dry skin brush 

Avoid alcohol 

Follow a healthy diet
