My Top 3 Self Care Tips for Summer
Longer days and brighter skies are a natural cue to slow down, breathe deeply, and care for yourself. Whether you're traveling, running around after the children or just relaxing at home, make self-care part of your summer rhythm.
Here sre my TOP 3 summer self care non-negotiables! I even manage to encorporate these into the days when the children are all at home demanding my attention!
HYDRATION: So important! My hydrations hacks are: Flavoured water, home made ice pops, herbal teas or electrolyte boosts. I also leave filled cups of water on the kitchen counter as a reminder.
SKIN PROTECTION: SPF 50! Everyday - even when cloudy. Apply every morning and reapply every 2 hours if outside, don’t forget back of hands and ears. I also avoid perfume or body spray on my skin and apply to my clothing to avoid burning.
MORNING ROUTINES: Gratitude list or journaling, 10-minute stretch in the sun, grounding your feet on the grass if possible. If all the children are at home - I tend to pop a headphone in one ear to escape the noise!
